First, I type in vacuum to start my search. Then I immediately select only those that are available through Amazon Prime. After all, I pay for Prime so I don’t have to pay for shipping. I want the best vacuum cleaner under $100 without any shipping fee.
From there, I sort by price (low to high). This allows me to easily see the most affordable options. I won’t get distracted by vacuum cleaners that are out of my price range. Finally, I read the reviews and look at the ratings.
Best Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Under $100
The first results that show up are all small handheld vacuum cleaners. We had one of these in my home when I was a child. We called it a dustbuster. I also recently got one for my home. In fact, it’s one of the ones that I had to throw out because it quickly stopped working.
This type of vacuum cleaner is great for spot cleaning and dusting your upholstery. However, it’s not great for larger cleaning jobs. I only have one room that requires a vacuum. Therefore, I thought it would work for me. However, it didn’t. Nevertheless, these types of vacuum cleaners are right for some homes.
After reviewing the prices and ratings, it looks like the best handheld vacuum cleaner priced under $100 is the Black+Decker HHVI315JO42 Dustbuster Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum. It is priced under $30. Furthermore, it has a four-star review. Moreover, it is marked as a best seller.
Alternatively, I’d consider the Homasy Portable Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Cordless. It is about twice the cost. However, it includes more accessories. Plus it has a four and a half star review.
Best Stick Vacuum Cleaner Under $100
A stick vacuum cleaner is also an option at this price range. These vacuums are best for hardwood floors. Moreover, they are designed for light cleaning. If you are looking for a vacuum to clean your whole house every day, then this isn’t the right category for you. However, I only need spot cleaning with a vacuum, so it works for me.
The cheapest options are a variety of choices from Dirt Devil. They’re around $20 – $30 each. However, they don’t have the best ratings on Amazon. Therefore, I would choose one of these instead:

I found one vacuum cleaner that fits both of the above categories. It is a convertible vacuum that can work as a handheld or stick vacuum. It’s called the iTvanila Vacuum Cleaner, 2 in 1 Upright Handheld Vacuum. It’s about $60. It has strong suction and is designed for pet owners. Therefore, it is the right choice in this price range for my home.
Best Upright Vacuum Cleaner Under $100
However, if you need a heftier vacuum than a stick vacuum then you will want to look at more traditional upright vacuums. There are a few good ones under $100.
For example, check out the Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. This is designed to clean the whole home. It’s a best seller with four and a half stars. Plus it only costs about $60.
Similarly, consider the Bissell 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum with OnePass. It has easy assembly, four stars, and costs about $85.
